1. Bookings and Payments
Bookings can
be requested by telephone or by E-Mail. All
booking requests must include the home address and telephone
number of the requester . If the booking request can be accommodated
then a provisional booking
will be acknowledged by E-Mail.
The acknowledgement of a provisional booking will include details
of the owners' bank account and business address, to be used for
payment purposes. A provisional booking will become
a firm
booking on receipt of the
relevant deposit payment into the owners' specified bank account.
Firm bookings will also be confirmed by E-Mail.
The final payment, which comprises the balance of the rental
payment and the "Damage & Breakages Deposit" (see
below), must be made at least 2 months before the
start of the rental. To achieve this the renter must
allow sufficient time for the selected payment process. Failure to make
the final payment in time may, at the owner's discretion, be considered to
be a cancellation of the booking.
All payments may be made by direct bank
transfer, or by cheque, but will only be considered to have been
made on the day that the payment is credited to the owners' bank
account. Currently payments can only be accepted in £
Sterling.
2. Damage & Breakages
Deposit
To
protect the owners a 'Damage & Breakages Deposit' of £300 is
payable at the time of paying the balance of the rental. This
deposit will normally be returned in full, via a
repayment cheque, within 1 month of the rental completion. Only exceptional
damage or breakages will incur any charge,
and in these circumstances a written explanation of the charge will be
included with the repayment cheque for the balance of the
deposit. Please note that any requirement for "special cleaning" services
would result in a charge being made.
3.
Cancellation Charges
Cancellation of a booking must be made in
writing by E-Mail and will take effect on the date received by
the owners. See also the conditions above whereby failure to
make the final payment in time will be considered to
be a cancellation. Cancellation penalties are as follows:

Any appropriate reimbursement
payment will be made within 1 month of the effective cancellation date.
Reimbursement payments will be made by cheque, sent to
the customer's home address.
Customers are
advised to purchase suitable holiday insurance to offset the
risk of cancellation charges.
4.
Rental Start & Finish Times
The rental period commences at 15:00 hours
on the first rental day and ends at 10:00 hours on the last rental
day. This is to allow time for the cleaning of the property between
rentals. Failure to observe the departure time may result in some
loss of the "Damage & Breakages Deposit" to cover the costs of
strengthening the cleaning team.
5. Meet & Greet
If
arriving between 15:00 hours and 21:00 hours (on your
first day) you will be met on arrival at the property by the owners'
local representative, who will provide you with keys etc. If
arriving later than 21:00 hours (on your first day) then
arrangements will be made to leave a key for you to make your own
entry, and the 'meet & greet 'service will be arranged for the
following morning.
It is therefore
essential that you notify the owners, by E-Mail, of your
expected arrival time. This E-Mail notification must be made
at least one week before the start of your rental
period.
You
will be sent an E-Mail acknowledgement of your expected arrival time details, containing the
name and telephone number of the local representative and
the details of when he/she will meet you. He/she will also show
you round the villa and explain its features etc. He/she will also
try to address any questions you have.
In case of last minute variations on your arrival time
the local representative should be contacted directly using the telephone number supplied.
Please try to ensure that any changes are communicated in sufficient
time to avoid multiple journeys for the representative, and
to allow him/her sufficient time to react to the
change.
6. Bed Linen & Towels
Bed Linen and towels are provided by the owners at no extra charge. They will be laid out on the beds for
your arrival. Please ensure that they are also laid out on the beds
by 10:00 hours each Saturday and on your departure day, ready for laundering.
7. Cleaning on Saturdays
On every Saturday, professional cleaning takes
place, and towels and bed
linen are changed, at no extra charge to the customer. However, it
is important that the villa is kept reasonably" clean and tidy and
that used bed linen and towels are left on the beds, by
10:00 hours on Saturdays, ready for the change. This is
absolutely critical on the day of your departure.
Please remember it is also another customer's day of
arrival.
8. When You
Leave
As well as preparing for cleaning etc. as
described above, please ensure that all furniture and contents
are in the places in which you found them at the start of the
rental. Please also ensure that you leave
promptly
by the specified rental finish time. Your villa keys
must
be posted through the letter box as you leave.
Failure
to perform these simple courtesies could result in extra costs for
the owners, and consequently in an equivalent deduction from your "damage & breakages"
deposit.
9.
Heating
An open fire can
be laid in the lounge according to needs - warmth or aesthetics.
Wood is provided free of charge. Central heating is also available
but at a negotiable extra charge. This should only be necessary in
the coldest winter months
10. Pets
Due to the farming environment around Villa Papavero, and the lack
of fencing of property boundaries, no pets are allowed on
the premises.
