Both the Lunigiana coast and the Liguria
coast are within easy reach of Papavero. This wide variety of coastline has something
for everyone. Many would argue that they are the most beautiful
of all the Italy coasts.
There are numerous beautiful little bays,
spectacular scenery and oodles of history along the coast
North of La Spezia, around the Bay of Poets, and especially in
the Cinque Terre
, a must
see UNESCO World Heritage site.
The variety of available beaches in this
area is unsurpassed. There are quiet little coves, beaches with
beds, sunshades & watersports, tiny fishing harbours and
large marinas, all with stunning mountain backdrops. Just
click on the names of the beaches
below and see for yourself.
The more commercialised beaches cater for all
forms of watersports - swimming, snorkelling, windsurfing, water
skiing, sailing. They all have large safe stretches of sea
and sand for
chilldren to play in safety.
There are two beaches within 25 minutes
of Papavero, Lerici
on the Gulf of Poets and Marinella
di Sarzana
beach. Both have safe bathing, sandy beaches,
water sports and restaurants, cafes and shops close by. Click

Forte dei
Marmi and Viareggio
are further down the coast and are larger resorts
with miles of sandy beaches and luxury shops (all the major designer
shops are here) and restaurants.
