Stone Archway |

The large double bedroom has a king size
bed along with a double wardrobe and plenty of cupboard and
drawer space. There is an En-Suite Shower Room with a large
shower cubicle, a wash basin and a
toilet.
During restoration work, David discovered
a large stone archway, above the doorway he created
between the living area and the bedroom. The cement and stonework
have a burnished red tone which apparently stems from the days
when the building was used for chestnut
roasting.
He has fully exposed this archway to create a historic
feature in the bedroom. Chestnuts were an intrinsic part of Lunigiana's
economy until relatively recent times. Today it is still possible to
buy bread which is baked from chestnut
flour. |

Outside on the balcony is a
table and chairs for Al-Fresco dining in comfort.
The views across the valley are just
wonderful.
